BWPT-43-RC and BWPT-43-RC/HD Bullwheel Puller/Tensioner with integral reel winder/tensioner.
This is a multi-purpose machine for use in reconductor on existing power lines or on new power line construction.
The extremely durable EPDM rubber lining and Nylon 66 fairlead rollers handle abrasive steel static wire and oxidized aluminum conductor with a minimum of wear over many years of usage. Continuous line pulls in excess of 4 miles can be accomplished replacing overhead static ground wire with OPGW fiber optic cables and new conductors using the large capacity rope take up drum. When operating as tensioner the twin hydrostatic power systems provides exceptionally smooth tension control making for safe operation near energized circuits.

Two fully independent hydrostatic power systems work in unison for precison control on reel drive system and bull wheel system.
Reel drive may be operated independently for tensioning directly from a reel or for light duty high speed pulling.
Operator station located to provide optimum visibility and safety both forward and aft.
Conductor and pulling lines may enter or exit to front or back of machine.
Open reeved bull wheels for easy access to conductor or pull rope.
Hydraulic operated leveling arm to distribute rope and conductors on take up reel. (Optional automatic traversing available)
Split reels are available for conductor salvage operations.
