2BWPT- 61 Bundle Hydrostatic Bullwheel Puller-Tensioner
These machines are used to replace existing conductors on 1-4 bundle electrical transmission lines using the old conductor to pull in the new.
By using identical equipment at each end of re-conductoring operation the process is much simplified. Multiple powered reel jacks are arrayed to feed conductor into and take up from the primary units. The 4 centrally contolled hydrostatic power systems maintain a constant precise tension on each conductor as it passes around the bull wheels and either onto or from the reel jacks. A synchronizer clutch allows to operator to adjust the conductor bundle by separating and locking bull wheel sets together while turning. Machines are paired together for 3 and 4 bundle operation.
Features:
Hydrostatic enable either pulling or tensioning conductors with identical machines.
Hydrostatic design allows precise speed and tension control with fail safe emergency stop.
The synchronizer clutch allows adjustments to the conductor bundle while running.
Power can be transfered by synchronizer clutch to produce up to 15,000 lb line pull for pulling one conductor.
Hydraulic stabilizers front and rear provide solid stable platform.
Remote control and operation of fail-safe brakes on reel jacks from central location.
