Brake tensioners are basic conductor tensioning machines
with chain and sprocket drives that spin the ventialted
- brake disc at higher rpms for smoother brake control. This
design eliminates the surging that can occur with tensioning
- equipment that have brake disc mounted directly on the bull
wheel. Finer braking control is also achieved.
- These machines are be used to tension all types of conductors
ACSR, AAC, wire ropes and cables and fiber optic cables, both
- OPGW and ADSS.
- The bull wheel linings exhibit excellent abrasion and weather
resistance while protecting conductors.
- The BWT-50 with off road only trailer (shown above) is a
very light unit that is easily lifted by helicopter.
- They are available as skids or with trailers for off road
only or highway towing.
